The dental team at Forest Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry, married couple Dr. Anokhi Bock and Dr. Derek Bock, has pulled out all the stops to make their little patients feel comfortable.
Aside from their friendly, gentle bedside manner and awesome reward system, they’ve created an office space that is both beautiful and extremely appealing to their young patients.
Dr. Bock himself was the interior decorator behind the scenes. We asked him about the strategies he used to make his office space so appealing to youngsters, and parents alike.
1-Where did you get your inspiration for the color theme?
The practice is located in Lake Forest, IL which is a very traditional/conservative town. I knew that we were going to go with a subdued color palette to blend in with the community. We wanted an earth tone palette to correspond to the Forest theme and name of the practice.
2-Everyone loves the video game room. How did you design it?
We once again pulled the idea off the Forest theme, and had a muralist encapsulate our game room in an enchanted rain forest theme. It’s a place for our patients to escape while waiting for their appointment time and play on the Xbox gaming systems.
3-How/why did you pick Trevino Flooring to do the floors?
Their reputation and years of experience with dental office flooring was the driving factor in forming a relationship with them. Both Keith and Sean are extremely easy to work with, and their level of customer service matches that of our practice.
4-How did you choose the flooring?
I knew the color of the carpet that I wanted, but Trevino Flooring Company helped guide me in my pattern and brand. They helped direct the texture and product of the wood textured vinyl flooring in the clinical areas.
We love the way our floors look and feel. All the flooring is very easy to maintain. Trevino flooring comes out 3 times a year and professionally cleans the carpets. Considering the high foot traffic practice our space has, the carpet has been extremely durable.
